Maybe Disney just decided to cater to the modern crowd that just wants one-liners, no substance and "quick what's the next ride?"

Maybe that's why I enjoy theme parks less and less as the years go by...

While we have nothing personal against Martin short, his presence in the new film is all too self-promotional and takes guests away from the points about Canada that SHOULD have been made. While viewing a film like this at Epcot's World Showcase, it's never a good idea to filter a particular country through animated characters--as in Mexico's newest update--or through celebrities. We would imagine that most guests prefer that the focus of these films be on the countries they represent, rather than on certain personalities.

ORWEN: And--if we're not mistaken--the new 'secret' attraction for Epcot is supposed to be a River Raft ride that will hide the Soarin' Building from World Showcase. We read about this several months ago on another Web-footed site.

ORGOCH: 'less'n there's some NEW kind a ride yer talkin' 'bout???

Yeah ... and the sad thing is that the Imagineers think drivel like this is what's needed and the financial planners think 'sure, this will be just as relevant 10 years from now.'

He's a great addition to everything he's ever been in. I have huge posters of Jimmy Glick all over my bedroom ceiling so it's the last thing I see when I go to sleep and the first thing I see when I wake up.

I can't wait for Disney to team him up with my other favorite, Eddie Murphy. Those two will certainly make for an excellent film.

I bet the new Canadian film is just going to be one big humdinger of an entertainment extravaganza.

The New Canada - good points and bad points, but in any event, much, much better than the redo of the China film. I can appreciate the lighter attitude of Canada, and enjoy knowing where the scenes are from. China just seems thrown together, Canada at least seems to be coherent. I think Short is ok, but that's a personal opinion, and YMMV.
