Funny you should say this... Actually I have told this story here before.... After politely asking a guy to please stop taking flash pictures on POC several times and being ignored, I then told him if he took one more picture I was going to throw him and his camera in the water... guess what he stopped doing!!!

Isn't it amazing that people need this type of incentive to STOP doing something that they know full well that they're not supposed to be doing anyway? I've had to directly challenge photo takers before. And while I'm usually successful, it still ruins the ride, as you can just feel the photo taker's eyes boring a hole through your back!

There are plenty of pictures of HM or POTC on the internet if you really need to know what they looked like. Save your camera for real memories with your family and friends, not animatronics that'll look awful with your stupid flash anyway.

People are very entitled these days. They think they paid money to be there so they should get to do whatever they want.

Since it's not a gravity-driven flume like Splash but essentially a large indoor lake, there are pumps along the guideway that propel the water and the boats forward. If those were to be turned off, the boats would continue forward for some distance, as they slowed down and eventually stopped. I wonder how long it takes for that to happen.

But when all the music and dialogue goes off, and "the voice" comes on in a very annoyed way, it's as though the pirate world you're immersed in comes to a stop, even if the boat is still moving slowly.
