I guess there were some big crowd scenes for the various concerts, but it hardly felt like they were going for a big blockbuster. Compared to Mr Banks, which has an A-list cast, none of the actors well known at the time. It has a lot of charm and is really fun, but it just didn't have that same "we spent a lot of money on this movie" feeling that you get seeing Emma Thompson and Tom Hanks walking up a mostly-60's Main Street USA And now I have that song stuck in my head. One of the band members, on his first trip to CA, just has to go to DL. So they show him cavorting there. I'm pretty sure (though it's been a while since I've seen it) that they bothered to paint a bobsled in pre-1978 colors (though they still used a dual sled rather than the single sleds that would have been in use at the time.) A little thing. In the context of the movie, a VERY little thing. But that non-Disney studio bothered to do it...
