Daisy is one of the best young actors I've seen in a long time. I really liked this 'Star Wars' - and I'm one of the 'I saw the original in 1977 when I was 15' framers.

I went in trying to avoid all spoilers, but I did know that Han was going to die as a crappy FB friend put that on his status last week. I didn't know how, but as soon as I saw him head out on that landing (when will space OHSA make them add rails to all those cat walks???), I knew Kylo Ren would do him in. I want more Luke. Can't wait to see what happens to him next. I'm in love with BB-8 and now I want one of those remote ones. When we went to DL on 12/18, they gave us all a pin with him on it upon entering. I love that pin even more now. I actually don't want Rey to be related to anyone. It would be refreshing to have a new Jedi not tied to Darth Vader. Finn was fabulous. "Do you have a boyfriend?" Haha! I like that he grew from a coward to a hero in the movie too. I do want to see it again, and I haven't felt that way about a movie in a very long time. I spent most of last night on my iPad reading about this movie now that I am not trying to avoid spoilers.

Originally Posted By ecdc >>Then I wonder why Han Solo didn't recognize her?<< I'm convinced he knew who she was. When you see it again, wait for the scene in the bar. Maz asks Han, "So who's the girl?" and the scene cuts to Finn. It seems set up to suggest Han knows who she is and is telling Maz, who then tells the girl all about the force. I mean, I could be wrong and I'd be curious to how other people read that scene, but it really jumped out at me the second time I saw it.

Heck, I thought the film started on Tattooine, until everybody started saying it was Jakku later in the film I really enjoyed the new characters; I think they're all great! This film was obviously part of passing the torch to the new generation, so I'm excited that they did such a good job creating them I also loved getting to hear some of the classic themes from the John Williams score again. The Jedi theme (or is it Luke's theme?) is one of my favorites, if often overlooked, and it got tons of play. I was also pleased to see that there were many big moments with no music at all, which really helped bring variety and depth to the situations I also liked the cheesy wipes and fades as they transitioned from one sequence to the next. It was an obvious throwback to the 70's era cinematography, and I found myself chuckling every time it happened. Subtle, but fun! >>PS My sister thinks she's Han & Leia's other child.<< Until he took of his helmet, I was convinced she was Kylo Ren's daughter. It seems like there's not enough age difference there, so I doubt that's it. But it's obvious that we'll learn her backstory in the future, and it seems very likely it involves characters we already know
