Time for a new show. Aladdin is a tired old show, it has lost its magic.

This is frikin strange! Sorry folks ... I gotta think of something. Perhaps I'll move the pics to another album .. and see what happens.

    >>Starbucks on Main Street can't come soon enough. The Nescafe dreck is horrible, and the kids at the Jolly Holiday couldn't make a decent Latte or Mocha if they had a gun held to their head. <<

    Include into your list Cappuccinos!

I wanted to say to them: You know when you make a cappuccino ... there's a little thing called chocolate powder that you put on the top.

Their idea of the chocolate topping .. is chocolate sauce!

    Can I say - DUH?! ;)

(See .. my problem after living in Australia for over 3 years now ... I've gotten use to getting coffees - the old fashion European way! We Americans are far behind Europe and Australia .... when it comes to coffee drinks! And "chain" businesses ... is not exactly the answer! LOL )

I'm having a Joan Crawford ("If you can't clean the floor properly Helga, don't bother at all")- moment. ;)

If they can't make a proper cappuccino drink .. DON'T BOTHER AT ALL! ;-)

If it was just the local convenience store and they were making this dreck for their fellow OC tract home inhabitants, that would be fine. But they are working at Disneyland, and they are serving people from Seattle and Portland and Australia and locals who have travelled the world beyond the 91 Freeway and know what to expect when one orders an espresso drink.

Disney doesn't train these CM's very well at all, that's all it boils down to.

ORWEN: Yeah, then Town Square wouldn't get all bottle-necked the way is always has. I say move it to the Hyperion. It'll help DCA's attendance figures to keep going higher, too.

ORGOCH: 'Til some goomer goes an' drops a candle an' burns the place down! Got a match?

You won't get that in the artificial environment, in an enclosed theater.

Rather than the actual processional have the castle in the background .. and the towering 60 foot Christmas Tree in the center of Town Square ... will be a narrow seating isle.

To be fair that image shows the stage with a ton of props for the Aladdin show. Although not as wide as the Main Street Depot, it's a pretty big stage.

I imagine that something would be lost if the show were moved to the Hyperion, however, if Disney wants to present the show 20 nights in row then I think moving it makes sens for all the reasons stated here.

And if they make it a paid event and have to cancel, there'll be some very unhappy guests.

I've seen some pretty awe-inspiring set designs for live theater stage productions through the years. Disney does this better than anyone. I think it would be different than what has come before, but it could actually be better.

Actually .. by routing people on the sidewalks ... that forces people to be closer to the shops .. and some use the shops to cut through ... "Oh, look what's on that rack - I have to it!" ... Where originally .. that person would have just shot down the middle of the Main Street road.

So ... your theory is blown out the window 2oony. ;p

An enclosed superficial environment is never going to replicate the "night air" magic for me ... and how the show works in with the different Disneyland icons!

Much like Fantasmic in WDW is nowhere as magical is DL's ... WDW's is on a stage! DL's .. uses other attractions into the show - The island, the Rivers of America, Mark Twain, Columbia .....

Anytime you have some show ... that is made BIGGER using the surrounding buildings, attractions, other elements ... It just increases the overall MAJESTY, and breathtaking "AWE" of it.
