Some kind of Shrimp and Sausage dish. I chewed and chewed the sausage till I had to spit it out. YUCK! Not to mention the shrimp came with all body parts intact (including eyes)

My father used to love Blood Pudding and I liked the smell of it cooking but the taste was awful even if you didn't know what it was made of.

And mele, please...my sister and I are disgusted by the terms people use to refer to things that come out of the nose. We prefer to call it the much more pleasant:

    "nose waste"

    :)

I've eaten Elk, Deer and yes Horse (I'm ashamed to say... This was in about 1970 when they were marketing it in the U.S. as the 'next hamburger, only cheaper.' They were all just okay... Gamey compared to beef or pork.

Mr. Alice and I being great lovers of sushi (we usually eat it once a week at our favorite restaurant), I've at least tried pretty much everything... with the exception of Uni, which, until today, I was curious about. Mr. X cured that curiousity. *L* I'm not crazy about octopus because it's too rubbery, but I love squid in any form. I'm particularly fond of mackeral sushi because it's so wonderfully fishy tasting (I eat fish because it's fish. I don't cover it up with lemon, etc. ;-) I also prefer my fish/seafood dishes separate from any sauces and outside of casseroles. I prefer them in their pristine forms - hot or cold, but don't feed me Seafood Crepes or Tuna Casserole. I'm not even particularly fond of crabcakes - too much smothering going on.

My most hated food ever, and I've only eaten it once - Beef Liver. It is truly the most vile dish my mother ever prepared. The lingering yuck on the roof of my mouth made me swear it off after the very first bite.

I like it all, too--and I pulled the waiter over & asked him to give me the details. Most of my guesses were right!

Don't forget, I really hate seafood to begin with, so just because it was too much for me doesn't mean you wouldn't like it! The other 4 people at my table all said it was delicious (I used their raves and "oh delicious" comments as a distraction when I purged the vileness from my mouth).

Why not try it, at least? :D

Then you can come back here and testify as a seafood LOVER on how it really is. ;)
