I made my husband ask for tampons at the little kiosk store in DTD before. I couldn't make myself go do it when I took a look at the guy working there. He just didn't look like the type you could go up and ask to buy tampons from.

"Rubber" and "till" - yes, British type accent, so I knew it was a cultural thing. So I had to ask him to describe the "rubber". Didn't mean it to be stupid, it was just interesting. Amazing what you learn as a CM.

She thought that the monorail took you around World Showcase. I can't even.

My odd story comes from the WDW Marathon in 2012. The course between the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom follows Bear Island Rd (a backstage road that passes by the water treatment plant and tree farm) from around mile 13 to 17. It's about as isolated as you can get in WDW, with dense forest on either side. At one point, I rounded a bend in the road, and about 10 runners (men and women) were coming out of the woods, pulling their pants up.

Now, I recognize that nature calls at the most inconvenient times (I've stopped in the woods during races myself), but what were they *all* doing there at the same time? And one of the best benefits to Disney's races is that (in addition to the port-a-potties at the regularly-spaced water stations) the real bathrooms in all the parks are open for runners to use as they pass through. Maybe they didn't realize that we were relatively close to a water station, but I still can't imagine why there were that many people in one spot

It just hit me that anyone who had done even the slightest bit of research on their vacation destination would know that SSE is indeed an attraction. It's hard to imagine someone coming to such a complicated place as WDW and not being at all familiar with the most basic things.

Well Dan, let me relate this story. When I was a manager at EPCOT I got called down to Earth Station (thats how long ago it was) to talk to a guest. They wanted a refund because there weren't any rides in the park. Thinking that they were looking for Six Flags type rides I proceeded to ask if they were looking for a roller coaster or something similar, figuring that I would send them to the MK. But they weren't thinking those types of rides. They had walked around Future World but couldn't find any rides. I proceeded to explain to them that the rides were inside the buildings and so on, but they had very confused looks on their faces. So I took them up the exit ramp and put them on Spaceship Earth. When they got off of SE we walked over to Journey Into Imagination. When they got off of JII I asked them if they had enjoyed the rides and they were astounded. I then gave them a map that I written in with a schedule to kind of follow and highlighted "rides" they should see. I ran into them by chance later in the night and they thanked me over and over again saying what a great time they were having. They truly did not understand that the rides were inside the building. Several weeks later I got called into the vp's office because they had written a very nice letter to Disney about me.

My point is that amazing as it sounds, people can be pretty clueless to what is going on inside the parks.
