Holy Dalmatians, Batman! That's an interesting way to glean a small tidbit of good information out of otherwise bleak figures.

How much of the additional attendance for DCA is just Disneyland overflow?

Looking at the numbers Al reported, looks like Disneyland is getting more folks over plan than DCA is....

    It is GOOD news.

Just because you choose to sop up the negative spin Al put on it, doesnt prove anything.

If they exceeded projections, and IF attendance was up from same time last year, i would be extremely interested in your explanation of how that would be bleak news.

But, I am fairly confident that you will try your darndest to do so.

There is a little thing called OFF SEASON guys!!

DCA's attendance is not going to be anything Earth shatterring until they add a couple more attractions and complete this Placemaking Project and possible Lagoon Show.

What is so difficult to comprehend about that.

You guys complain about quick fixes not helping attendance and not being good for the long term of the park, but then you complain about current attendance in the face of LONG TERM solutions on the way for the park.

Is it just that complaning is too much fun, anyway you can get it.

Look at how POORLY DL has done since the 2for expired

DL drops from 64,300 to 49,800 to 42,100 on Saturdays

DL drops from 59,700 to 44,500 to 41,800 on Sundays

THANK YOU for proving that the promotion helped the resort overall. It helped BOTH PARKS.

It wasn't just helping DCA since they were giving DCA away for free. Giving DCA away for free caused A LOT MORE TRAFFIC TO DISNEYLAND that would not have been there otherwise. It wasn't just people showing up and being talked into getting two tickets instead of the one ticket that they wanted anyways.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for showing us that both parks lost traffic after the promotion ended.

OK Al - Let's have THE WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH. If you say that DCA had 10,000 APs last Sunday - How many did DL have???? I would venture that DL had a lot of AP clicks too. Not providing that number does look like you are hiding the fact that DL benefits greatly from the AP program too.

Why would DL sell out when people were using their 2nd day at DCA ????

He should rewrite it as follows ...

using their first day at DL and second day at DCA filled both parks.

But he doesn't want to report the WHOLE TRUTH.

    Say WHAT!!!!!

    That is just plain wrong...

There was NO restrictions to Disneyland, ONLY DCA...

In fact, TDA folks were walking up and down the lines to get into DCA offering folks the chance to go to Disneyland a second time if they had a 2fer ticket, and many folks took them up on the offer!

That's likely what Eisner, Braverman and Pressler have been asking since well before and after 2001.

It's a miracle DCA didn't turn out to be an even bigger dud.
