We had to keep all our food in tupperware (breakfast cereals, etc.) and keep the kitchen immaculately clean or we would get an infestation. We had to have the perimeter of the house sprayed every other month. And this was a new house. We has similar problems in other houses. And even with all these precautions we would get slammed at least twice a year. Maybe we would forget to empty the kitchen trash can before going to bed, and next morning there would be ants all over the kitchen. Fortunately there are no Argentinian ants in Colorado. I don't miss them.
