That said, just because a scruffy looking family wins, it doesn't mean that they will use them in promotional material. If a clean cut, upper middle class black or hispanic family were to win, I would definitely expect them to appear in commericals and other promotional materials.

All this PC crap is annoying enough as it is. I'm sure that before it's all done the castle will have house whites, blacks, mexicans, asians, english, australian, martian, venetian, or whatever. Don't hate on the white middle class...that's the majority of America. They were targeting their chosen demographic. Let's face it, it sells better.

I think you're right, but nobody cares about discriminating against the white middles class. We're suppposed to sit back and take it all in since we already get screwed in taxes more than any other demographic. We're the champions of mediocrity!

Well, I'd be cracking up if I was at Disneyland, won something and was then told I couldn't get it, anyway!

It's always a happy 4 member family that wins these things. I know a lot of families visit, but the law of averages says that some of this stuff has to be be won by a single guy from Texas, or a gay flight attendant, or 2 college roommates on a break - anything but the modern nuclear family unit.

In that case, the law of averages says that a family of four is four times more likely to win than a single guest. Since there are in actuality probably far more families than single guests in the park at any given time, it's probably far more likely than 4-to-1 that a family is going to win, since each person in the family is effectively another entry into the contest. Sorry, I don't smell a conspiracy here.

Some people get lucky, some people don't. Just because someone might get disappointed is no reason to cancel this giveaway, or any giveaway for that matter. This PC "let's make sure everyone is happy" garbage is a real sore spot for me.

If I did, then great! If I didn't, I'd still have a wonderful time. >>Is it something to do with lottery rules for Australians or something?<< I really don't know ... I don't think we have particularly strict laws when it comes to that sort of thing, so I'm not sure why we can't do the mail-in. Often sweepstakes are only open to US residents, which I can understand but it seems a bit weird when it's open to people from Canada and the UK but not Australians ...
