That's very true. I didn't think of it that way at first. I think it actually was a good idea. A little surprising that someone would be allowed to use the hidden immunity to get them to the jury vote, as last season it was restricted to the final four only, I think.

I'm glad Ozzie got the car, though I think that technically means the car curse is still in effect.

And who wasn't in tears at Ozzie's story at final tribal council about his dad?

I loved that the Aitu four made it all the way. I loved that they stuck to their pact and made it a tie between Sundra and Becky so they could fight it out fair and square. (And it was hysterical that it took so freaking long for them to finish the challenge, putting the jury to sleep.) It was so nice to see all of them hang tight through it all. I don't know if they'll remain friends after this, but it was nice not to see all the normal bitterness at the end.

Yul and Ozzie played such fantastic games and they basically knew that what Yul, Ozzie, Sundra and Becky did was awesome, the odds were so against them.

OH, small gloat.... I was SO right about there being more than 2 in the final. YES!

OK, gloat done and ego put away for the time being ;D.

Thanks goodgirl. I know this thread is “old news†by now but the finale only aired in Australia last night (we used to only be a day behind!) Even though I couldn’t contribute, I did like to read the back posts and see everyone’s thoughts after the episodes – I just did it very, very carefully and only slipped up and read too much once. It would definitely make it easier to know when to stop reading if the first post of the week had ‘spoiler’ up the top. Just a thought!

Anyway, I was THRILLED that Yul won. Partly because I won my sweep yet again (I organise it, pepole accuse me of rigging it because I’ve won so many times) but also because I thought he was the most deserving. It’s really the first time I can remember that I’ve been so happy with a final 2. Am I right in thinking that it’s only the second time (following Ethan, Lex, Big Tom and Kim) that a foursome has stuck together until the final 4 as planned? I thought Becky was sweet, but it was obvious she wasn’t going to be a huge threat to Yul or Ozzie – I did feel a little sorry for her not getting one vote, but I’m glad it didn’t end in a 4-4-1 vote.

I thought it would end up being a 3-person group for the final tribal council. I actually hope they keep it that way – how often have the Jury members commented that they don’t want to vote for either person in the jury? Of course, it left it open to the possibility of a 3-way tie, but I guess they’ve got a plan figured out for if that happens.

All in all I thought it was a great season! And a few people were commenting at the beginning about the lack of interesting “characters†– I think Yul, Ozzie and Jonathon would have changed most people’s minds by now.

Well, first season, Richard, Kelly, Sue and Rudy all made it, even though personally it was falling apart.

And in the All-Stars Rob, Amber, Jenna and Rupert were a team.

I did think about Jenna and Rupert with Amber and Rob but I couldn't remember (it wasn't that memorable a season, lol) if they were together for a long time or if they just came together towards the end out of convenience. Thanks, hopemax!
