As much as I liked some of the people, that was the MOST boring season since Thai Land.

I don't normally talk about Survivor on LP, but I wanted to have my say about Dreamz. That episode where Yau Man gave away the truck was one of the best ever. When I finished watching it, I just said "Wow!"

I'm not terribly upset that Dreamz went back on his word, but the way he totally acted as if he was playing strategy the whole time and never intended to keep the bargain is just a load of bull. If all we had was his on-screen performance at the time of the challenge and then his later statements at tribal council, that would be one thing. But during the solo interview that he gave shortly after getting the truck, he was totally grateful to Yao and showed not a hint of being deceitful. If he had planned all along to not keep his word, that interview would have gone totally differently.

The way he chose is words so carefully at the final tribal and in the reunion show, it really was interesting to watch. It's interesting to note that he had a chance to see his interview that I talked about above before the reunion show, but not before final tribal. I think that at one level he really believes that he was just playing the game the whole time, but the only one he's fooling is himself. But another part of his brain is telling him to word things carefully, lest he break his own self-deception. Whether it be over the truck or something else, that kind of thinking is going to catch up with him in life in a big way eventually, and he probably won't even see it coming when it happens.

But man, that was some darned good television in those last few episodes!

I liked that too. Too bad Yao's scenario of "one too many idols" being played at tribal council didn't come to pass. That would have been priceless to see someone smugly play the fake idol, only to be told by Jeff that it was not genuine.

It was a woman, and she dropped out due to anxiety attacks that she suffered while being kept in isolation in Fiji just before the filming started. The producers knew about her anxiety situation beforehand. I hope that they weren't hoping for her to wig out once filming began just to create a sensational situation.

I hated Dreamz the whole way through and more in the last episode, but I thought it was hilarious that he tried to say that he knew from the beginning that he’d keep the idol. He obviously didn’t – he said to the camera when there was no one else around that he’d keep his word, and you could tell he honestly felt terrible about it. I don’t know why he thought that was even a good lie to tell, though – he’d have been slightly more sympathetic (very slightly!) if he said “I honestly intended to keep my word, but when it came to it I had to think of my son and we need the moneyâ€. It was a stupid choice, too, because he kept saying "I can't give up a million dollars" - he was NEVER going to get the million dollars. I think he could have been up against a rock and they would have given it to the rock. He had no chance.

Also hilarious that Dreamz was so indignant when Boo mentioned the sympathy vote, and when he got to do his opening speech he said “I started out on the streets, I need your helpâ€.

One last thought: I hate Lisi! Always did, but more so after that little tirade. Dude, you’re pretty bitter for someone who took HERSELF out of the game.
