Even I had my reservations but after seeing the final result.. I was pleased.

I am not even all that happy to see Toy Story Mania in TDS but I only hope that the more lavish facade will at least be visually pleasing, and so far.. with the addition of the popcorn lighting.. it will be a nicely lit building at night.

However, I can already see a huge improvement in the amount of traffic that corner of the park gets since the Carpets were opened last month. The wait time to ride them last week was 45 minutes, and even the Sindbad ride benefits from this.. It was a 20 minutes wait time for that boat ride which normanlly is a walk-on attraction. So I see the carpets as a reason to pull people there. Consolation prize: again... the lovely tyle mosaics with the alladin characters and hidden Mickey in the Carpet's queue make the wait worth it. As much as I hate spinner rides and quick solutions, at least at TDS they did not cut back on the theming that goes into it, in relation to the rest of the park. That is the single reason why I give it thumbs up. At the MK.. a ride like this gets dumped in the middle of a land that itself offers, caribbean, african, arabic, and polynesian themes.. There is no focus at the MK's adventureland area.
