No interactivity with characters, no AA movement at all. No "spark" of anything, other than looking at a giant diorama. The thing I always loved about the Swiss Family version, was that it was kind of voyeuristic. It felt like you were trespassing, and at any moment the family would be back to chase you out of their house...or maybe welcome you for a meal. It felt "alive", like they had just stepped out and you were seeing things left unattended. With Tarzan, he's right there, and there's a giant leopard and an ape inside the treehouse...they are watching you, but they're obviously fake. It just takes that little bit of imagination away. Still, I don't find it horrible, I just like the original incarnation much better.

Tarzan's rooms just don't have that feeling. I have no idea if it's because I've seen Swiss Family Robinson or not. I wonder what somebody's reaction would have been up there if they had never seen the movie before? But, going up there as a kid, I recognized what I saw from the movie, so maybe that was a reason I felt the way I did?

It is so much fun to use ones imagination. It takes you away into your own little world, and sometimes someone elses. Tarzans treehouse just doesnt have that charm. There was so much more to look at and wonder about when it was SFR.
