It works for us right now. We have tons of space compared to our last house!

I really hope to own a home someday. The one thing I hate most about renting is not being able to CHANGE anything about the house. The bathroom needs to be remodeled something fierce & while I do love doing the work, it drives me nuts that I don't get to make hardly any of the decisions about what goes into it.

I love my yard, my french doors that let the outside in, and working at home (I turned my dining room into an office). I love my neighbors. I'm surrounded by teachers, a carpenter, a fireman, and two restaurant owners (Chinese on one side, Mexican across the street). It's a cool mix.

And we can't stand our neighbors. One has a rooster and I'll be calling the city as soon as I'm sure I know who it is. Another neighbor has extremely loud parties that are so big that they will rent a portapotty and put it in their front yard for those occasions. And the house on the other side of us never has the same people living in it from month to month. It's the same owner, we see him occasionally but it seems like the occupants change very frequently. And one of them, a few years ago, was driving drunk and hit my husbands parked car.

Yeah, we want out of this neighborhood.
