Think of rootbeer combined with beverly combined with an overbearing flavor of cloves.

Not quite as strongly bitter as beverly, but it's got the same flavor, just less so.

Goose Island makes a nice grape soda (I don't drink tons of soda, and don't care for root beer).

It is free to try at WDW! I didn't think it tasted like black licorice (though I don't like that either), but it's an aperitif in Italy. There are some people who enjoy Beverly, it's not much fun to try to trick them. :)

There was a girl in our group who gave up soda for Lent, but we convinced her to break it for a sip. It was great watching her reaction, since she was expecting it to be at least decent.

I don't know why that kid puked though. I would guess it has more to do with the bubbles and the ammount of time it took him to get each cup down (he did several really quickly at the beginning) rather than the taste. While it's unpleasant, it's not really going to make you sick. It's a shame they don't have it any more, as it was a great way to "experience" something from the rest of the world (and convince your new friends how good it is, even taking a sip before them, and watching the reaction!)

Yeah, I know. I gave it to my sister saying "mmmm, this is so good, you have to try it" and she said "oh, is this the one you were saying was disgusting?" (Damn). Then she sipped it, I sat there with the camera poised to get a photo of her face, and she swallowed and said "it's not great, but it's not BAD". I was crushed. Crushed!

Beverly? At Disney World? They don't have it anymore? Clearly, I'm too shocked to string together full sentences. But have they got rid of it? They had it in November!

As far as the ice/snow - I actually really liked it. I live here, and it was nice to cool off in summer. Not so much when kids would pick up pieces of ice and throw them.
