LOL jk But seriously, thank you all so much. I have already just last night begun to remake and reshape what happens in our routine. I read my pre-teen son's a book before bed, and it was a very special time. I went to my DD's room and watched "Suite Life" with her, but I really listened to her talk more than watching TV. It was very special. I leave you all with this... and it is in part the thing responsible for the seed getting planted at the recent brith of the last baby. It was 2 songs I heard just after he was born. I'll leave you with lyrics to both: called, "You're Gonna' Miss This" by Trace Adkins and "Don't Blink" by Kenney Chesney. It doesn't matter if you like country music or not, the lyrics are really great. Don't Blink I turned on the evening news Saw an old man being interviewed Turning a hundred and two today Asked him what's the secret to life He looked up from his old pipe Laughed and said, 'All I can say is' Don't blink Just like that you're six years old and you take a nap and you Wake up and you're twenty-five and your high school sweetheart becomes your wife Don't blink You just might miss your babies growing like mine did Turning into moms and dads next thing you know your "better half" Of fifty years is there in bed And you're praying God takes you instead Trust me friend a hundred years goes faster than you think So don't blink I was glued to my TV when it looked like he looked at me and said Best start putting first things first Cause when your hourglass runs out of sand You can't flip it over and start again Take every breathe God gives you for what it's worth Don't Blink Just like that you're six years old and you take a nap and you Wake up and you're twenty-five and your high school sweetheart becomes your wife Don't blink You just might miss your babies growing like mine did Turning into moms and dads next thing you know your "better half" Of fifty years is there in bed And you're praying God takes you instead Trust me friend a hundred years goes faster than you think So don't blink So I've been tryin' ta slow it down I've been tryin' ta take it in In this here today, gone tomorrow world we're livin' in Don't blink Just like that you're six years old and you take a nap and you Wake up and you're twenty-five and your high school sweetheart becomes your wife Don't blink You just might miss your babies growing like mine did Turning into moms and dads next thing you know your "better half" Of fifty years is there in bed And you're praying God takes you instead Trust me friend a hundred years goes faster then you think So Don't blink No, don't blink, don't blink Life Goes Faster Than You Think Don't Blink... Trace Adkins You're Gonna Miss This Lyrics She was starin' out the window of that SUV Complainin' sayin' I can't wait to turn 18 She said I'll make my own money and I'll make my own roots Mama put the car in park out there in front of the school and she kissed her head and said I was just like you You're gonna miss this You're gonna want this back You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast These are some good times So take a good look around You may not know it now But you're gonna miss this Before she knows it she's a brand new bride In her one bedroom apartment and her daddy stops by He tells her it's a nice place, she says, "It'll do for now." Starts talkin' about babies and buyin' a house Daddy shakes his face and says, "Baby just slow down." Cuz you're gonna miss this You're gonna want this back You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast These are some good times so take a good look around You may not know it now but you're gonna miss this Five years later there's a plummer workin' on the water heater, Dogs barkin' phones ringin' one kid's cryin' one kid's screamin', And she keeps apologizing, He says they don't bother me I got 2 babies of my own One's 36,and one's 23 it's hard to believe But you're gonna miss this You're gonna want this back You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast These are some good times so take a good look around You may not know it now But you're gonna miss this You're gonna miss this Yeah, you're gonna miss this Take care of yourselves LP! I love this community.

My oldest turned 13 last month, and that really made me stop and think about how little time I have left with our entire family still all at home. So I've been spending a lot more time just "being" with my kids. . . and being fully in the moment with them in whatever we're doing. Kudos to you for the choices and changes you're making. I hope you'll still either stop in here or Facebook from time to time to say hi and give us a quick update.

You are very possibly the most dedicated father I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Your kids are your life and the love that you give them shows in all your posts. You seem to know exactly when to nurture and when to push so that your kids will achieve their highest potential. I'm older than you but you have taught me so many things that I wish I had known when I was raising my own family. Knowing you, I certainly understand and respect why you're taking this break from LP but you'll have our friendship and love while your gone and we'll look forward to the day that you return. I'll miss you my friend!
