Blacksheep Uncle: I suppose that's the one? I clciked the link and it does descibe what I read about, there might be a different one similar, either way, the Ballentine will surely work. They may not have tamales, but they have kitchenettes and I have a a tamle cooker ;)

    Thanks for the link.

If I do go to a Mexican restaurant, I tend to stick to things that I know what they are. Like tacos, gorditas, chalupas, etc.

Oh well, maybe I could try making them but over here they would probably use ox tongue or ostrich meat to fill them! LOL

Any suggestions on what to do with frozen tamales (pork, chicken and vege) and is there a sauce I can BUY that I won't get kicked off of LP for not making it myself ? :) Yummmmmmm, we had them for dinner last night and now at 8am, I'm thinking I'd like another.

We don't use any "sauce", we put a glob of salsa on ours.

Maybe Elderp or BigThunder can give you their "red sauce" recipes. LOL!

My mom and grandma make the best tamales ever, but so far don't have any plans to make them this year. I'll have to fix that.

Side note: tamales and poached eggs makes a wonderful breakfast. :)
