No, I gave my opinion of the show. I realize tastes are different. I understand how someone might take it that way, but I'd say they're reading in way too much.

Not that I am discounting what you say. For example, if someone tells me they feel a Big Mac is better than a BBQ filet at the California Grill, well, yeah, I'm going to think they have simple tastes at best ... or no taste at all.

I'm not trying to win a popularity contest here. I'm trying to discuss one of my favorite places -- WDW -- with others who enjoy the place too.

    >> The Legend of the Lion King has it. Aladdin at DCA does. The old Hunchback show at MGM had it. Tarzan Rocks doesn't. <<

"What is "IT?" And how can you be so certain? Are the rest of us missing the point?"

"It" is that intangible, special quality that elevates a show beyond the ordinary and leaves you with a giant smile plastered on your face.

And I can't say whether anyone else is missing the point without knowing them and their tastes.

Some people like to see movies like the Dukes of Hazzard, Fast and Furious and King Kong ... others like Narnia ... others Chicken Little ... others Brokeback Mountain ... others Cheaper By the Dozen 2 ... it all comes down to taste

"Honestly -- I like the Lion King show too. And I see Lion King and Tarzan at the same level. And yet you see them as being different."

Yes, I do. Very much so.

One aspires to rise above simple theme park show, one doesn't.

That's a pretty good review of the show.

My real list would be much, much longer.
I just don't feel any need to state that I LUV Disney ... it kinda ... should be ... well, obvious!

And I do more often write about the negative,no doubt. But there needs to be balance on this forum. Everything at WDW isn't magical.

It does seem that many members of this community aren't that old or aren't longtime WDW visitors, so they assume that WDW has always been the way it is in 2006.

I was there right after opening and been going ever since. I have friends that work and many more that did work at WDW (or for WDI). My historical knowledge gives me a leg or three up when I'm talking with someone about what a great park Epcot is (and it is) if their first visit was five years ago when I was there on Opening Day.

So while WDW may knock recent guests/newbies socks off with its offerings, I like to temper it with the sobering reality that WDW has lost a lot of what made it special and has a management team that cares about the bottom line and the bottom line only.

"I have no arguments with you; I just simply tire of nothing seemly ever to be right."

There's plenty right. Still. So much more right than wrong.

But unless someone asks a specfic question or there's something new to discuss, like Everest, I don't see the need to simply post about how great WDW is. If it wasn't, would we be here talking now?

"I think you forget this show, "Tarzan" appeals to children and the point I feel you don't seem to get is that it is fun. That's all. Simple."

No. I think I said it is something for the stroller brigade. The thing is I remember when Disney produced theme park shows for the whole family. I have sat through Tarzan maybe 4-5 times and my reaction is always the same.

"Once again, for the record, I'm not a guy. My screenname seems to imply "male". No. Not me. I just simply love the Trailsend Buffet in Ft Wilderness. I'm a huge Ft Wilderness fan."

I didn't assume you were a male. I'm an equal opportunity offender!

And I love Trails End too ... although to keep my negative rep intact I will say I feel it was higher quality a decade ago when lunch with drink was $5.99 (minus my 20% DDE discount) than it is now at twice the price plus drink. That's the kind of historical experience I was speaking of, BTW.

"LuvDatDisney, have you ever tried the School Bread in Norway????"

    No.I don't think so. Why?

As a result, I too have seen a decline in quality at all the resorts, and an increase in price (though this is happening everywhere). However, the introduction of EE, Illuminations ROE, Wishes, Motors Action, Soaring - WDW, 50th Fireworks and parade, Monsters Inc at DL, and I'm holding out some hope for the expansion of the studios in Paris; these all give me a much better sense of hope.

Tarzan - I found it to be fun, and it does have some great elements - e.g. the air ballet, but overall, it seems moderate quality. As does the Lion King show, Beauty and the Beast and Fantasmic.

Disney can create fantastic quality as we know on Broadway, and even in their parks - Aladdin (DCA), Tarzan (DLP), Lion King (DLP) and the reviews of Tokyo are rave.

The only show I feel is high quality in WDW is Motors Action (though I've not yet seen it, this assumption is based on the Paris show). I'll find out if I'm right later this year.

Tarzan Rocks is not totally wonderful.
Tarzan Rocks is not totally the pits.

Tarzan Rocks is just a show that I like.
And I'm sorry it's going away.

If you're going to make public statements like this, I hope it's at least your INTENTION to insult. While I don't like it, I can at least respect intentional negative commentary.

I'd hate to think you were using phraseology like this to help EDUCATE us poor, clueless masses.

Not in the airlines..they are still charging 1980s fares and that is why they are demamding pay cuts and benefits cuts (not to mention the outsourcing of many jobs to foreign nationals) in order to make up for the incompetent twits that are running the airline business in the USA, and poor Europe is headed the same way with their rash (or bad virus) of cheap value airlines. The american consumers in their quest for cheap travel have brought this tragedy upon their fellow Americans who can't have a decent wage for a living...not to mention our incompetent trigger-happy administration. But that's another topic.

Sorry to disappoint, nothing I write is meant to intentionally insult anyone. It was simply my opinion about a theme park show. Nothing more. Nothing less.

I didn't like Tarzan Rocks. I hope its replaced with something better.

If it makes you feel any better, I can't stand Beauty & the Beast either. That thing is older than Bea Arthur.

I do fully realize, however, that many people live to be insulted and can find perceived insults in anything. If you are amongst them, feel free to be insulted.

Please be as honest as you want in your postings. We don't have to agree. And for all I know my opinion is in the minority. (I don't think so)

But I can't see your body language or your facial expression when you deliver your lines.
