It's very, very, very doubtful (barring them being gangbusters this fall) that this party will ever return.

Other areas of the park were very much lit with color spotlights to accent such features as trees and buildings>> <<the parade was very nice>> <<the Fireworks show "Magic, Music and Mayhem". This folks was worth the price of admission>> Wow! It certainly sounds as though WDW did more than keep the Park open later, come up with a name for those hours, and then charge people more for it. It sounds as though they really invested into providing a good guest experience. KUDOS, indeed! (Let's hope they see some positive consequences to their expenditure of effort and money so that they'll be encouraged to put out "quality"!) <<Jack Sparrow, I was a bit disappointed with the CM playing him. Not only did this guy NOT look a lot like Depp, he was playing Jack like an all-out, major-case... QUEEN. Everyone knows the character of Jack has that certain... je ne sais quoi that makes you think he might be... hmmm.. gay?>> Oh, that's disappointing. Yes, Jack should be more... ambiguous. I think this actor needs a few hours with the female pirates you saw. [Although, Off Topic here... Mr. Bill would have loved him. I make Bill watch Disney movies. He endures them and typically has some non-reactive comment at movie's end: "Eh, it was okay." He was like that after POTC:COTBP. But after "Dead Man's Chest," he was absolute passionate: "The movie was okay, but they butched up Jack WAY too much! What, did they think Disney people couldn't handle a gay character?! He's not supposed to BE like he was in this movie!!!" LOL!] Is there any explanation or backstory as to why Princesses and Pirates are sharing the event? Do Princesses and Pirates (not the dressed-up guests) interact with each other in any way? Or are we to assume that it's simple alliteration (and marketing sense) that dictates these two disparate Disney properties are co-hosting a party? Thanks for (yet another) "you-were-there" report and another wonderful set of photographs!

They're very animated its nice seeing something from Peter Pan that isn't Tink or Hook. There was one parade where the bear lost boy was actually replaced by one of the raccoons. Nice change of pace for someone whose seen this parade almost... 30 times? The fireworks give me chills when watching it. Up until recently, watching Cinderella's castle explode was always amazing, but I've seen it so much. =\ Too much of a good thing, I guess? I love the lighting around Main Street, the way the symbols move is nice. The music is also nice and upbeat and makes yo uwant to dance, especially since most parties are slow. I mean SLOW. But its good for the guests who get to walk on rides. =) I love working them, I always wear the pirate mickey ears and sword fight with the kids. Its something to do and all the cast on main street have fun in one way or another in the party. I'm glad you enjoyed it. =)

Anyways.. back to the topic at hand.

Bring out the little boys and girls so they can identify with "something" while enjoying the party. Get it? >>Do Princesses and Pirates (not the dressed-up guests) interact with each other in any way?<< No. They don't mingle together at all.. but they come close in the parade. Yet, the Princesses portion would be concidered Part 1, and the Pirate part would be #2. >>Or are we to assume that it's simple alliteration (and marketing sense) that dictates these two disparate Disney properties are co-hosting a party?<< Yes, I honestly believe you assume correctly. >>And thanks for the great pics of a danged fine looking flight attendant!<< Well Danno... is this your "coming out" party??

Some people in VERY good costumes were assumed to be wandering face characters. Some even were sports and tried to act the part as best they could. It was very touching watching a guest create Disney magic for another.
