Some one needed to get out more often before the 90s I'd suppose. The wondrous age of Tomorrowland was in the mid 70s, when tomorrowland themed specific attractions ruled the land: StarJets, PeopleMover, Flight to the Moon, Space Mountain... and *GREAT so-called filler attractions that I still concider much better than the current garbage they have in that area. "America The Beautiful 360", If you had Wings, Carrousel of Progress, Skyway to Fantasyland, and great shows on the Tomorrowland Stage like "Disney World is your World".. The current Tomorrowland lineup is garbage compared to such beloved classic. Sadly, the passing time has not been kind to Tomorrowland, but I think the Imagineers are sleeping in their laurels when they use the "Tomorrow is NOW" excuse to get off their imaginative butts and not come up with great attractions that are cutting edge and tomorrow-related themed.

It took awhile for the announcement of a new Florida Disney park to get to Minnesota.

The look and feel of the land reminded me far more of my local 1970's library than any vision of the future. Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square all brought me into another time and place, immersing me in adventure. Tomorrowland left me feeling like I left the MK and entered the "real" world. For my money the closest thing to a "golden" age for TL was the 1994 Buckrodgers land update. Alien Encounter and Timekeeper were, to me top notch entertainment and the look and feel of the land was vastly improved. I wish they continued in that path and finished the retheme to include the back half of the land. The only down side to the 1994 rehab was the script changes to Carousal of Progress, I much prefer the 70's version to the one we have today.

And since when are ANY of TDLFAN's reports fair and balanced?! NEVER!

He's clearly an anti-Disney type and doesn't deserve to be here.

As my teachers used to say, for every finger you point at someone else, there are four pointing back at you.

I agree with that. Also, he's been around these boards a lot longer than you and isn't going anywhere anytime soon. You might not agree with him, but you sure could be more mature about it, rather than calling him a jerk.

At least we didn't have to stand for the whole show l;ike we did when it was Timekeeper! No one is going to flock to the MK to see it, just the way no one flocks to the MK to see Stitch. I'm sure Monsters will be replaced by a "Meet the Robinson's" theme based attraction within a few years.

It's hard to compare, since Monsters is geared for both children and adults ,as both can become part of the show, while Turtle Talk is geared primarily to younger children.

You can walk away from Turtle Talk whenever you want, while Monsters is a show that has a definite beginning and end.

That being said, I like Monsters better.

Now , TDLFAN may wish he could just walk away from Monsters, but if he ever became "that guy" during the show, I'm sure he would stay.
