Okay, I think the review here is fair enough as far as it goes...but I'm of a mind that the ending really, REALLY sucks much worse than is explained here. Total disappointment on my part...I sure do hope it is "temporary" even though that, too, seems pretty weak to me. If they were in such a hurry to open the ride for the holidays, they should have simply left the old stuff in until ready for SOMETHING new and different and not totally weak and lame like that video crapola. As for the picture, I wonder if your pic might be superimposed onto that cartoon thing at the end at some point, but if so...lame.

It was nice to ride SE after a long break, and I enjoyed most of the ride as usual...ending though? Crapola imho.

Yep, made it back in one piece. Good to see you again. As you pointed out, we've now seen each other at 3 of the 5 Disney resorts worldwide.

I don't agree with the original premise - I've always really liked that mural. It sparks the imagination, and does a great job at setting your mindset for the coming attraction.

Think we can nail down Hong Kong and Paris in '08? :D

Although technically speaking we did meet up at the Florida resort, we didn't go to any parks together as you know...I think the same might happen in Hong Kong (I'll meet ya for dinner or something lol).

Also, the photo that they take at the beginning was used to place our faces in the custom animation this time. That was nit done on our earlier ride-through.

You simply must see the video of a video of a Youtube SSE video that is online - you can see how much the ride sux!

Sorry, I can't help it either. I was hoping to get to SSE yesterday, and skipped Epcot in favor of the MK all evening. Well, until I called it an early night. I'm looking forward to seeing the new effects.

I do like a lot of the ride that is now in place. If it doesn't get plussed anymore, than I still will ride (unlike Gran Fiesta, which I really do not like now).

Earth shattering? I doubt it ... but more in the dorm of effects I would guess.

But yes, while I wouldn't wait a half hour any more - as I did twice this week - first so my wife and I could see it and then later so my daughter could see it - I would definitely ride it again.

nbodyhome - did you stay to see the midnight fireworks? We did and enjoyed it.

Next time I'd go to Epcot for the evening, and head back for the fireworks! I can do a couple of hours by myself at the MK, but that appears to be my limit (at least when it's as busy as it was yesterday). I am glad you got to see them!

The coolest part of the midnight fireworks was the countdown with the numbers in fireworks! (10-1) (No usuable pix of that however.)

We actually managed to do a few attractions between the time she left and the fireworks. Of course, when we left, the park was still open another 4 hours for resort guests. That wasn't happening for us! <G>

I'm glad you made it home safely! Obviously, I am not at Disney. Half the evening was spent watching a Dateline Predator marathon (I know, really sad!), I'm probably going to watch part of a movie now. I mean, how many times can you hear the line "have a seat over there"?

There are times when I would LOVE to be out until 3 or 4 am in the parks. Tonight at Epcot would have been very cool. Next year I'll make sure to see the MK fireworks - the reviews have been really positive.
