    Good.

    Never liked show modes.

To me, a parade should just keep moving or it becomes a little boring. Most of the time when watching a parade, I am keenly aware of the time passing, since it's time I am not experiencing an attraction or riding an E ticket. Just show me the pretty floats and colourful costumes and move along.

Most likely at present. There is a week's gap between Movin' On and the debut of Jubilation! so I would expect a preview at least the day before. The rest of the in-park rehearsals will be done in the evening again.

They were never used for the sake of it - typically they had a purpose such as the acrobatic skills displays for Parade of Dreams and the crowd interaction for Once Upon A Dream.

I guess they just got overused to a degree like any new device. TDL has other problems - show mode slows down the parade which keeps the performance corridor clogged for longer which is a major issue for park ops.

Jubilation! is amazing - I wish it was still called Treasures on Parade but at least the music still talks about the "treasures".

We are trying to sort out what artwork to feature in Issue 12 of Tales - it is very difficult as there is soooo much.

E! produces all of the local seasonal shows - it is only the bigger parades and show like Mythica and Jubilation! that are produced by WDI-Creative Entertainment. The seasonal entertainment is likely to still focus on show modes and the interactivity (dance moves, hand gestures etc.).

<<Also, I thought Pixar Play Parade was designed with a show stop, but it just isn't being used.>>

I wasn't aware of that - I have only ever seen the parade mock-ups and heard the music for a continuous parade. I don't recall Play! Parade ever having a show mode but I wasn't particularly close to the development of that show.

I've had a lot of emails asking about this and I think it is best I clarify it here - there is not a show mode in Jubilation! There is a play mode which has a very different purpose and very different in its execution. It is designed to be a "break" from the normal flow of the parade but you won't see it unfold like it did for Dreams on Parade.

I guess it is semantics to a degree but the parade has a very different kind of energy that is tough for a performer to execute without a change in pace or performance.

    Hope that is clear.

MagicalNezumi has stated else where that the word online is that Jubilation is rumoured to have its first preview on April 8th 2008. So we havn't got to long before all answers are revealed.

Please also tell me none of these play modes will include music from High School Musical 2, with changed lyrics, like some online are reporting or I will have one massive apology to make?

The music is by Mark Hammond who does the Disneymania CDs. If I recall correctly he also did the arrangements for the 50th parade at Disneyland.

    does that make sense?

I might have to get the Tales magazine, I think Lee has a section coming up on this parade.

There is a joke inside WDI-CE that the magazine should be renamed Tales from Steven Davison as he has been featured so often (I think he has had prominent articles in at least five of the eleven we have published to date!). Nothing like a bit of jealousy.

We have 10 pages to the creation of Jubilation! in Issue 12. We will have the spreads up before the weekend hopefully with the press release. That is all pure artwork - photos will be in Issue 13.
