But if for whatever reason you are unable to get a FastPass then your a "loser" and get to wait in crazy excessive lines. Just what I want to experience when I'm shelling out $100 a day per person while on vaction in extreme heat and humidity!>>))

    I never discussed "fairness".

I discussed the harsh realities of the standby line. Fairness involves a personal interpretation of injustice. I already states that some guests think the ride queues are actually better than the ride. The find listening to Mr Potato Head for 2 hours to probably be the most entertaining park of their day. My arguement was strictly on the basis of "time". Other's argued that you can FastPass some rides and have to use the Standby line on others, so in the end it all equals out. And my arguement is that if people are consistenly in line for 2 hours then they can't be in stores or restaurants.

I wasn't never discussed "fairness". What may be preceived as "fair" to one person may be preceived as in injustice to someone else. I never opened my arguement to include personal interpretation.

<<It is hardly fair that when you get into a standby line on Toy Story and told the line is 20 minutes. Then a parade gets out and suddenly the standby line soars to 2 hours because the FastPass line got slammed.>>

<<Or better yet; I live in CA and have been to WDW once in a blue moon. Here in DLR we have one ride that uses FastPass and there is never a line... so FastPass is the most fair system in the world and all you Walt Disney World employees and guest that have visited WDW since you were kids have no idea what your talking about and I'm the expert here!>>

Most of your subsequent comments were about re-opening closed attractions. And while I don't think it would do as much good as you apparently do, they were NOT about "fairness".

So if "winning and losing" was not addressing fairness, I retract what I said and apologize if my comment offended you.

And in this post my point was "time". That the one and only time I have experienced Toy Story Mania was when I intentionally got into the standby line only because it said there was going to be a 20 minute wait. While in line a parade or show got out and the FastPass line got slammed. I ended up having to wait 2 hours before I could get on Toy Story Mania. I never discussed "fairness". As I said, "fairness" invites personal interpretation. And althought I didn't enjoy standing in queue for Toy Story Mania for 2 hours that doesn't mean someone else might have enjoyed that experience.

This post was tongue in cheek.

I still believe that the excessive wait times for rides would be dramatically decreased if closed rides/ attractions were reopened at minimal cost to Disney. And I have the laws of physics and liquid dynamics on my side of that arguement. Real simple, the more rides/ attractions available the more "potential" for the crowds to be spread out. Thus, a decrease in ride/ attraction wait times. Just like adding lanes to a highway or 128 bit of memory bus as apposed to 64 bit of memory bus on a computer CPU.

(( I retract what I said and apologize if my comment offended you.))

I wasn't offended. I just wanted to be clear about what I have been saying. Again, I'm not making a case for or against FastPass. All I'm trying to say is that I believe the FastPass system is flawed. I will let folks draw their own conclusions.

It was a typo danyoung. It should have been, "I was never discussing "fairness". Geez Louise.
