You'll have to schedule it 180 days out.

That being said, I already foresee a day when I need a fastpass to watch the fireworks from a good location at WDW.

    To you.

Is there anything currently about WDW that you like or do you just come here to kvetch and moan? I'm not trying to be smart or anything. I'm seriously wondering why all the hate all the time.

Epcot and most of DHS. A few rides here and there in the MK. Jellyrolls. The minigolf courses.

I only complain because Disney seems intent on destroying the class and quality that made me fall in love with the place as a kid some 18 years ago. They seem to only cater to the LCD any more and you're damn right I'm going to complain about that.

I meant more like if you're not happy with the way things are going, then the best option would be to step away. Maybe revisit it at another time. Maybe it will be better maybe it won't.

I like FastPass. It's free. It's pretty simple to understand. It's completely fair.

I can understand the corporate impulse to extend FP to a parade. The original idea was to get people out of the long lines and into less well attended areas of the park, including SHOPS and RESTAURANTS. People standing in line are not spending money. And crowds waiting for a parade don't either.

As long as this is free, I have no problem. Well, maybe I won't like it is all the good viewing areas are consumed by FP sections. But this is just being tested right now, so... we shall see.

Novel idea, no? Wait and see how it works out, then raise the roof.

    Point taken.

"Why does anyone care if this person loves everything and that person hates everything?"

It would be silly of me to come to a fan site and not expect people to vent now and then, but a handful of the WDW folks have taken kvetching to new heights. The knee-jerk reaction and chronic complaining about everything gets tiring to read sometimes. The subject of this thread is a case in point and hardly out of the norm. Maybe I should just keep quiet, but I bring it up in the hopes that some members of LP might rethink how they utilize the theme park boards and lighten up a little. The is not World Events.

"But quite honestly the tone on both sides is getting ridiculous."

Is it? Maybe it's just me but the impression I have is that there's an abundance of negativity here. I think Doug summed up the situation nicely in post 36.
