Although the answer was not quite what I wanted (no high-speed Internet until next summer), I was glad that they took the time to respond individually to my concerns instead of just sending the "we value guest input and will pass it along" form letter.

I don't know what the crowds were like in TDL, but if they were anything like the ones I saw, you could have done both pretty easily. I took my time and wandered around the park until I could hardly walk anymore (literally) and went on most attractions two or three times each. If you are going at a time like that, I would suggest you remain flexible and see what the crowds are like and consider switching parks later in the day. As much as I enjoyed seeing TDS at night and BraviSEAmo, I do kind of regret getting so close and missing out on Honey Hunt (I had been to TDL in teh late 90's).

The crowds were so miserable that I stayed for no more than an hour before returning to the peaceful TDS. The only attraction I got to ride was Jungle Cruise and even that I waited 25 minutes for. POTC was over 70 minutes and the line was not moving. I also missed Dreamlights due to a slight scheduling error. All in all, not a pleasant experience. However, the next day I had a much more relaxing experience park hopping. This time, I did TDL in the morning-mid afternoon before hopping to TDS for the rest of the day. I found that to be a much better experience, and I got to ride many more attractions at TDL.
