I don't think there is anything wrong with having an ex-spouse memorialized on your body but you do have to be careful in where you choose to put it or what type of design you have. I like the thought of having a piece of that person on my body forever because that person is part of who you are today. Of course, I think a lot of tattoos are lame. A single Marilyn Monroe tattoo seems kind of stupid to me but, as with any art, it's totally subjective. I like my "roots" idea because my children are totally the basis of my life. They always will be, even my 17 year old son, who has run away from home and lives somewhere else. I would never consider leaving him off of this particular design.

To me, tatts are no different than what clothing you choose and are equally as (un)important in the grand scheme of things. Come on, people are so much more than their outward appearance. I get so frustrated with people who judge about silly stuff like this. Most people have infinitely more character flaws to hate than what they choose to wear. ;-)

But this here chick with the 56 stars on her face? Seriously, what kind of job is she going to get? (Clearly she'll never bring me coffee. ) What about any possible children she has? Would you want a mommy like that? But, it is none of my business what people do to themselves. It is a free country.

For a few years now I've wanted a spray of fairy dust with "Not All Who Wander Are Lost" written in it but in 10 more years will I still want it? I don't know. The funny part is, my 63 year old mother has a tattoo she loves on her leg and she's been persuading me to get one since I was about 16. Weirdo. LOL.

I tell ya, when I was in the 5th grade, I prayed to God that He lead me to just the right Bible verse. I truly believed that's how it worked. Yeah, I opened right up to Leviticus. That's when I knew that the Bible wasn't the book for me.

He has several different languages going up his arms? I don't quite get it? But whatever makes him happy! He and his wife have 2 young kids and his wife has each one of her kids' Baby hand print tattooed on her shoulder blades. Those are interesting ones too... I personally don't have one, I've thought about it, like last summer we went to Hawaii, I wanted to Tattoo something that would remind me of one of the BEST trips I've ever had! But I chickened out.
