    3. Discovering the unexpected Disney touches (especially on that first visit): topiaries, floral displays, hidden Mickeys, fountains, etc. Heck, even the sidewalks and manhole covers have special details.
    4. DeVine
    5. POFQ doormen who are perpetually happy and who go out of their way to interact with guests
    6. Gorgeous wait staff at Le Chefs de France and their beautiful accents
    7. Martin Short and the Canadian film
    8. Watching a bridal party arrive or depart at the wedding chapel near GF
    9. Walking any of the "trails" at the resorts: along the river between POFQ and POR, from MK to the GF, from Epcot to Boardwalk, around CBR, etc.
    10. Laughing at the funny gifts in Canada's store. Check out the aprons and coasters the next time you're there. (And they're actually made in Canada!)
Note: I love everything that others have posted, so I'm trying not to repeat. Thanks to everyone for sharing their favorites. This has reminded me of what I love about WDW and has made my days brighter.

That's really good news Dave! I always felt you were the most fair about discussing good and bad, but for some time your posts had been getting me down. I am so glad your work life has turned around, may it improve even more!

Sorry about that, but when Disney used to the antedote to when the real world got too much, and then too much of what angers me about the real world enters Disney, it is kind of last straw stuff.

I still stand by the idea that I do not think they have got much right in the parks for the last few years (Soarin' was probably the last thing). But the plans for HKDL makes me more positive.

3: Splash mountain where the water travels and the gophers are.
4: Port Orleans Riverside sitting by the river and watching the riverboats go by and listening to the clip clop of the horse drawn carriages walking by just after dark.
5: Riding the train around MK.
6: Standing atop Summit Plummet as the platform sways and looking across the whole WDW resort at all the neat buildings and rides that you can see. And laying in the trough about to take the plunge.
7: Walking down sunset blvd in DHS and hearing the screams from the Tower of Terror. Also watching my daughters' faces when the penny on their lap floats up and hovers in front of their face on the ride.
8: Playing hide and seek on Tom Sawyers island.

Most of my fondest memories of Disney are not when we are on the ride but reactons before and after. I'll say it again for Disney Management: The magic of WDW is in the details. Anyone can build a ride. The magic is in the presentation and what is put around them to support the experience.
