My partner had never been to the US before and now fully subscribes to my view that you guys (Americans) are the most welcoming in the world. Both CMs and guests were fantastic last summer. Highlights include some North Carolinians on the monorail to Epcot and some very friendly folks from Iowa in the crowd for Fantasmic and a family from PA on Midway Mania. To me, half the charm of visiting WDW is the people. I was in the MK for July 4th back in 1994 and really wish I could be there this year. Odd for a Brit?

Of course, I can't remember his name either. Last time I saw him was at the gate into Disney Studios.

She approached the dispatcher to find out where she could get a taxi. The dispatcher asked which resort she was staying at ... and then had one of the drivers get a bus and drive her back.

    I went to France and used Disneyland Paris as my home base because as a CM I got a great hotel deal (like $30.00 a night). One morning I got up early and ran to the train station to catch a train into Paris to do sightseeing. Of course, everyone was coming off of trains heading to the parks. The next train pulled in. The announcements were in French which I didnt understand so I hopped on the train. The doors closed. The train pulled out. I was the only one on the train. It went several hundred yards down the track and stopped. Then the lights went out, then the electricity. I sat there and then saw someone walk by the window. He stopped backed up, looked in, saw me and pryed open a door. He started to talk to me in French...not happily I might add. I kept saying that I didnt understand. He finally said...Follow me. I walked along the track with him. He opened the first car got in and I followed. He said "SIT!" I did. The train starts up. He pulls back into the station, turns to me and says "Get OUT." Which I did quickly. I finally tracked down an English tourist who guided me to a train into Paris.

    My favorites...lets see;
    1. Sitting on the beach at whatever resort I am staying at and sticking my toes in the sand with a cold drink watching the water and the people around me
    2. The excitement on my DD face everytime we enter a park; especially when you make that first appearance on Main Street USA
    3. Looking back on Main Street at the end of a busy MK day with all the lights lit up (I always have to turn around for one long last look at the castle all lit up)
    4. Various CMs who have gone out of their way to make my DD trip more magical...her face absolutely lights up when they give her special attention
    5. Eating a Dole Whip on a park bench and just enjoying the sites and sounds around me
    6. Browsing through all the little shops down Main Street
    7. Riding the railroad all the way around the park and taking in the sites
    8. Sharing a huge cookie or other goodie while watching a parade while sitting on the curb
    9. Taking my DD picture with various characters and listening to her reaction when they do something particularly cute/silly
    10. All the wonderful memories every single visit to Disney has made for my family over the years...they have meant a lot to us and hopefully we will have many years worth of memories left to go...I just got engaged a few weeks ago and my trip this coming week will be the first family trip for my new family. My fiance hasn't been since he was a kid and my soon to be step son (4) has never been...can't wait to show them Disney!!
