Perhaps it would be an extra charge in addition to your admission.

This would remove the current wooden wall in that area, and make it look a little more 'natural'. Depending on how (or even if) they do it, these rocks could be placed in a way that they completely block the backside of the Carsland rocks from the path, with the two unfinished sides facing eachother backstage. You would still be able to see over the Screamin' rocks from the coaster and the ferris wheel, but I don't think that's the end of the world. There would still be the issues from the Wharf, but I really don't know how they are going to deal with that.

I'm also not sure if the model that I'm remember is even in consideration any more. There were several variations on what could be done in that area, so it might be one of the ones that got nixxed. I believe that Screamin' will go down for a fairly lengthy refurb relatively soon (it may be after Carsland opens to balance crowds some), but that could be the time to take care of it. It does worry me that they might be waiting until the omnipresent "Phase 2" that never actually happens, to take care of a Phase 1 problem.

Something like that could certainly do the trick. Ferret, do you know if there are any online photos showing new rock work around Screamin'?

I think this may have been one of the concepts that was cancelled, but I don't really know. I can't even remember it if was a drawing or a model, but I feel like I saw a photo of a photo of a model, that was part of a bigger display (either on a large board or a video presentation of sorts).

It sounds like the side facing Harbor Blvd will have a wire mesh (like a really nice chain link fence, similar to what is in the railings in the Autopia queue but probably with larger holes in it) that will have designs in it. It wasn't clear if the designs would be painted on it, or if they would be made from separate pieces of the mesh cut into shapes.

They are aware of the problems facing Harbor Blvd, and are working to take care of them, which gives me hope for the problems within the park. What still worries me some is that they are doing the side facing the street because the city (and likely the Resort District) mandated it. Hopefully they will put the same regulations on themselves, or at least bring the mesh around the corner.

It could have a roadway with tunnels, and every so often, one of the Cars characters could roll on down that highway. It would be similar to seeing cars off in the distance, if this makes any sense at all.

Tomater rolls out of a tunnel, along the "mountainside" two-lane highway, disappears into another tunnel. Doc Hudson goes rolling by on another stretch of road lower down, across an overpass, and so on. Perhaps a couple of waterfalls as well. Kind of like an oversized electric race car set, and similiar in a way to seeing the shrunken omnimovers/passengers on the old Adventures Through Inner Space attraction.

What a great "weenie" it would be for DCA -- something much more kinetic and inviting than the cold monolith of Tower of Terror.

Yeah, but no matter how many years of Disney obsessing I do, I doubt I'd ever be able to picture things in my head that detailed.

    Exactly!

Don't be so sure. I've watched "Inception" several times now and I am quite sure I'll soon be able to enter the dreams of Disney executives and make these sorts of things happen.

I've got this great idea for the Tiki Room, with Iago and Zazu. It'll be a smash!
