The gun culture the NRA fosters, that Donny approves, directly led to the Sandy Hook incident. If he comes on here and disavows the NRA, I don't post that. They're so reluctant to acknowledge major changes in their lives, being the imperfect human beings that they are, it's usually too late to do anything about the guns until after the shift occurs. And I've been nearly killed twice more, by idiots at high speeds who barely missed me. Most people could probably say something similar. I've never come close to being killed in an airplane. Most people could probably say something similar. Anyway you slice the stats, by hours traveled, or by miles traveled, it comes out the same. You are safer in an airplane than in the car. It's not a cliché, it's a fact. And you or a family member really are more likely to be harmed by your own gun than heroically stopping some intruder. Also a fact.
