Granted, the families could have said no, but they knew who they were asking and those folks were most likely flattered by the offer and didn't think it through.

They chose to do this - now we're going to worry about them because they POSSIBLY didn't think it through?!?!?! These are adults - if they got so excited that they allowed Disney to "take advantage of them" then it is their problem. Touchy feely political correctness run amok!

That was the huge problem with it. When it was there for a purpose, it was very nice. 2001-2007 were brutal. I HATED that thing.

I have two colleagues who had children who acted in two TV shows, and those shows paid for their college degrees. The residuals from commercials alone are staggering, and this one is national. I'm guessing the parents had no idea what they signed away.

If you're wringing your hands over how "Big Bad Disney" took advantage of adults, then I can certainly give you more important things to worry about. The residuals for PROFESSIONAL actors are staggering. For home movies of nobodys, probably not so much.

Few people knew of you over there. Actually the only person that got a little testy with me was Corrus. I could see where people would be getting sick of the Wand is coming down threads, since there was a new one started every week. I told them if the Wand didn't come down they could tie me to it, stip me, and flog me publicly. After Corrus said a few more unflattering things to me, and proclaimed the Wand wasn't going anywhere, Leehisownselfandlovedbyeverybodyatwdwmagic stepped in, and proclaimed that yes indeed talks were going on, and being finalized. Corrus never offered me an apology either.
