It is a bona fide source of electrical power. While the production of churros, Dole Whips and skewers actually CONSUMES our precious energy, DILL PICKLES are in the brave forefront of lunatic enviro-friendly energy sources.

A vote for DILL PICKLES is a vote to defeat rogue nations who would hold us hostage through energy dependence.

    I THINK NOT!

It pains me to see the awards elections getting so... ugly... at such an early stage. Perhaps it's excessive energy consumption that has brought this on.

Regardless, I strongly urge all right thinking people to copy and paste the provided link. Or make one of those tiny url thingies.

WHOA!!! NOT SO FAST THERE, SPARKY!!!

"Dill Pickles -- the snack that answers back"?!?!

    I don't THINK so!

Just a second... Allow me a moment to ">>" the DVD I've just placed in the player...

Okay, okay, yes, here we go...

The LaughingPlace.com Golden Doobie Awards Ceremony 2004, taking place in beautiful DCA... We're gathering outside of Hollywood & Dine [>>] We're inside [>>] LP'ers chatting... getting food [>>] Disneyland Ambassador welcoming us [>>] Fabulous production number! [>>]

YUP, here we are... This is it!

    >> After announcing Golden Doobie, Emcee takes a break from giving Awards to read a sponsorship promo from cue card:

"Turkey Legs: The Snack That Answers Back!"

TURKEY LEGS! THE SNACK THAT ANSWERS BACK! In 2004!!!

    And what's WORSE?!

I have it from MOST credible sources that the emcee stole that line from YOU, Mr. DlandDug!

I hereby demand that Sour Pickles be disqualified from the Snackies!

I like the subtle anti-skewer pun, intended or not. I'm giving it 10 points.

    Dill Pickles: 15
    Churros: 17
    Skewers: 19
    Dole Whips: 12
    Cookies at Pooh Corner: 10

But Lisann called them Pooh Cookies. It's juvenile of me, but that just sounds so darn wrong. That is a five point deduction for the cookies.

BUT I like Lisann calling Doug "Claussen", so I'm re-awarding five points back to Cookies at Pooh Corner, so the above totals stand.

    Dill Pickles: 15
    Churros: 17
    Skewers: 19
    Dole Whips: 12
    Cookies at Pooh Corner: 10
    Disneyland Popcorn: 10 (It's ALWAYS a "10"!!!)

    OK, less charming...
Churos: just as yummy a 3rd the price, twice the size... Costco
Popcorn: just as crunchy with other flavor options... any fair, carinival or movie theater
Cookies: even *I* can make a pretty yummy cookie and I can choose what types of chips, nuts or candies to add depending on my mood... locations vary
Skewers: not really a snack more of a meal... better ones found at ANY Thai restaurant on the planet.
    And the least worthy...
Pickles... any grocer or just my fridge

Clearly the Dole Whip, available only in Hawaii and at Disney is the only true competitor here and should win hands down.

    *humph, charming*
