I totally agree. And if it could, I'm pretty sure she'd have it by now, since she won Big Brother, which I believe was also a $1million prize. She seems to have grown up a lot since the last time she was on TAR, so maybe she'll keep it up in the next few years

That said, every time she started to whine/complain/cry, I had a gut instinct to make generic whiney noises to drown her out. It actually became kind of fun along the way, especially since it was somewhat unusual this season

I thought they were both ridiculous in their own way - he treated her like garbage whenever there was a screwup, and blamed her in a very nasty way even when it was a mutual thing, but when he screwed up and she called him on it in the last episode, he quickly yelled at her to "drop it!".

Anyone want to place a bet on which year/month the divorce will be announced? (hopefully BEFORE they make the mistake of having that million dollar baby)

Half a mil - but point well taken. I imagine they probably pissed that away quick, which is why they're so desperate for another payoff. But if you're dumb enough to piss away a half million, odds are you'll do it just as easily with a million, or five or even twenty million (cases in point - Mike Tyson & Dennis Rodman).

LOL. We must have been separated from birth.

LOL! That would make us triplets separated at birth, I did exactly the same thing!

That might have made a good drinking game. Every time Rachel whines, you take a shot (or have a glass of wine -- whine = wine). Although, this season there were episodes where you'd have gone thirsty. ;-) She was a bit less whiny this go around (thank goodness). She made up for it towards the end of the season, though. The pressure was getting to her. I agree, Brendon is not supportive and it surprises me this relationship has lasted as long as it has.

The season did seem to end in a whimper. I really wasn't invested in any of the teams winning after the cowboys were Philiminated.

Odd that there was no memory / puzzle challenge at the end this time. Presumably so they could do the Copperfield stunt and the flying Elvises.

Looking forward to a new season in fall with a group of unknowns to run the race. The All-Star versions are alright since you don't have to 'learn' the teams, but some new faces would be welcome.

I also had that thought, but figured it could get dangerous pretty quickly. She either did a good job of just playing along, or whined endlessly. There never really seemed to be a middle ground (though at least there was way less whining this time around)

Personally, I don't care if it took place over several MONTHS, no grown up should behave like that. I would suggest that she should be ashamed of herself, though the whole idea of reality TV seems to be a strict policy of shamelessness anyway, so in that sense she's the best of the best really. *gack*

My point with the editing thing is that, if they wanted to (and they might well want to), they could edit a team like that to make them less annoying in the beginning (by editing out her whining) and then, after the producers knew they were going to lose, leaving the whining in in the later episodes so we'd have someone to root against. So when they come in last of the final 3 we can say "good."

I remembered as they showed clips from earlier in the season that the first team to go out was the Sri Lankan twins, and they showed plenty of their annoyingness in the first episode; and I remember saying "good. Won't have to listen to THAT all season."

Of course, with those two, it may have been impossible to edit out the annoying!

Those Sri Lankan twins were very annoying. They were in their previous season, too, and made it a lot further that time. If the producers were to edit out their bickering and annoyingness, there would be nothing left to show of them. ;-)
On the other hand, that may have been a better idea.
