He's right that if anything like this were in the works, it would get around (it always does) if only because the Innoventions cm's would have to be placed elsewhere (or laid off).

Far from a full-fledged Peoplemover discussion .... which some keep saying, at the slight mention of it, – Stop this discussion on it! For every little mention .... is a long diatribe from the few against it. It’s to the point of a Hate, which is baffling to me. Hans .... I'll always appreciate the time you take. I don't agree with them, but I'll always appreciate your mature approach on the subject, and always enjoy our long-standing chats ... like we're Abbot and Costello. >>Manfried: So its okay for some people to keep trying to turn Disneyland into a museum by constantly trumpeting that old attractions like the Peoplemover should be returned. << I love how you conveniently leave out every time ... whenever this subject comes up - The general consensus is a hope for something different. With perhaps a __slight__ homage to the '67 design. But a total departure with no hint to the original may even be better in my opinion! But you don’t listen. You never listen to that point. Is there seriously something wrong with you? >>MANFRIED: But woe betide the person who disagrees with that point of view and says so in a sarcastic way.<< Sarcastic way? More like an Ax to Grind, laced in cheap-shots. Back on the “D23, George Kalogridis, & the Peoplemover track” thread http://mb.laughingplace.com/Ms...P-21.asp Something you said, that caused me to do a double take. It was just so over-the-top nuts! And I just had to walk away from it! ... But no more: I wrote in that topic: "In what is considered one of Tomorrowland's best years - 1977 (when Space Mountain opened) ... there was barely a line outside the PM entrance. It was just that good in terms of soaking people in .. like water to a sponge." Here’s your exact response: “Give it a rest. It was not because it could eat people, it was because it was BORING! I know I worked there at the time. I don't think you did oc_dean.” What's that suppose to mean??? What was that all about? What did one thing have to do with another? Why the childish, immature style of writing? Bitter about something? Hate, much? There was so much you revealed about yourself Manfried .... And it just brings it up to date .... That you have some weird, ugly, negative feelings about something that happened in your personal/professional life ... and you are consistently transferring that negative energy into a hate every time this subject comes up. And by the way ... I was 13 in 1977! I hardly think I was going to be working at any job, just yet! You have some bitter issues going on. But knowing you ... you will continue to transfer your bitter feelings about whatever was or is going on in your life .... into any kind of a renewal for a Peoplemover for Tomorrowland. And I’ll end my post on a quote from a Micechat poster, which certainly is related to this subject: "I have always enjoyed the real self centered American way of: ‘I don't like it so it should be removed,’ philosophy!"

And please don't be offended if I poke fun at you about this Peoplemover business. We've both been here long enough that I think we "get" each other.

PS, Disney plans A LOT of things they don't tell their cast members about. The demolition of the Inno building probably wont happen for a while, but if you're still working there by the time it does happen, Here is a bit of advice for you: Perhaps you need to find a new job, or get a career. Perhaps it's time to grow up. Working at an amusement park for most of your life, is not a good way to live it.

"Working at an amusement park for most of your life, is not a good way to live it." There was really no need to insult the poster's job. Working at a place like DLR and taking pride in what you do is a perfectly fine way to build a career, either within the Disney organization or as a stepping stone to some other path.

Do you ever look around and notice that the work force is made up of a very diverse group of people, of ALL ages? My brother is approaching 25 years of work in the parks, first in DL and now as a merch lead in Rushin' River in DCA. And he couldn't be happier. So your assertion that only kids work at Disneyland is pure crap, Mr F.

We have had alot of input in the building and how it is being operated. I'll also point out that I'm only 18 and working for Innoventions is my first job! Just because I'm working for ONE of EIGHT Theme Park within the GREATEST Entertainment Company in the world doesn't mean I can't climb the ranks to the Executive pool! I have seen many people who used to be in the Parks and are now the Head guys! Plus, I make bank!

My first job was working at a McDonald's, which obviously sucked. I'm wondering if the Buzz Lightyear building will get the same color makeover soon. It still has some bronze embellishments.
