Some folks feel that if Hippos had an easier time getting guns they could protect their access to spinach. But have you ever tried shooting a spinach with a gun? It doesn't work very well. It makes a lot of noise, scares the other Hippos away, and tends to wreck the spinach leaves the Hippos want to eat. Besides, lacking thumbs that work right, Hippos aren't very good with guns anyway. And the Hippos NEED more spinach! But most don't really care about Hippos wanting more spinach. They just care about selling the stuff that gives them big bottoms and selling more guns. So the poor Hippos don't get the help they need. Them poor Hippos NEED spinach. But no one wants to help them so the poor Hippos are HUNGRY for spinach!
