    I doubt that the fat comes from the sodium nitrate. And, I doubt you'd want to eat meat that's been in a can for a year unless it had sodium nitrate added to it.

    Spam is like a hot dog: mostly fat. But as long as you're not eating it every day, a can here and there ain't gonna kill anyone. Taste of course, is another matter. I can fully appreciate some people just won't like Spam.

    That's why I like the Turkey SPAM better. Even less fat and sodium.
