will someone be notified in the early morning so they can prepare? if the person they ask can't do it, will they select another person, or is it a one shot type deal?
so if you get it, you have to leave your hotel that you paid for, you have to gather up some of your luggage and then drag over to disneyland. what time is checkin? can you only head to the room at a certain time? or will you be able to lounge in the room all day?
then what time do you have to check out? i would assume very early so that they can get the room cleaned for the next days winners. which means you have to lug your luggage back to your hotel.
i don't know it just seems like alot of hassle for a couple hours in a room.
yeah it seems cool, but the logistics just don't make sense. how does it work at disney world?
plus in a week or so i would imagine they won't be able to use the room, because fantasmic starts in march, and they will probabaly have to do start rehearsals for alot of feb. how is this going to work.
sigh. i wish we had the gallery back.

They then give you several hours before you need to check in, but I believe your entire group needs to be there for that. I think it's around the time of the park closing, and then they lock you in for the night. At WDW they have a "concierge" positioned downstairs to keep you from getting out, and get you anything if you need it. I don't know if they will have this in DL due to the differences in the setup. The WDW suite only has a single, small, stained glass window that doesn't give any outdoor views, where the DL one has several exterior windows, and even a balcony to go watch the night shift doing their thing. I would assume DL would have a phone to contact somebody that could get things for you, but I don't think they would post anybody on the stairs all night to make sure you don't get out. They probably just lock the doors or something (or course still being able to unlock in an emergency)

    THIS is what I mean:

Something like the Magnolia Mansion in Historic New Orleans. It would have complemented the theme of DL's NO. Throw some tastful hidden Mickey's and there ya go. You can take a look at some of Magnolia Mansion's rooms here at their home site:

Well, yes, but it's really only based on the original designs. I see they definately added things that were not in the original designs at all. The Dorothea Redmond concepts are just a tad more elegant and minimal compared to the final Dream Suite results.

So this place probably falls well into the category of Disney chic.
I will concur that some of the design elements remind me of past episodes of Pimp My Ride!

Question though - I have more than 2 kids - does this make me ineligable? I only saw one kids room with 2 beds and the master bedroom.

Personally, I think the Dream Suite is very cool and very Disney. I'd flip out for an opportunity to spend a night there.

But give my Las Vegas just a bit of break... please. I realize we DO a lot of over-the-top stuff... just not in the guest rooms. Which IS the topic of discussion here. :)

So, when the 'Million Dreams..." thing is over, will this revert back to the Disney Gallery, or will this remain what it is, forever?
