Is a performance by the Dapper Dans an attraction? Well, they are for me! How bout the Voices of Liberty? I love them more than the show they're opening, so for me they're an attraction. But I was mainly railing against the statement that there are no rides in DL outside of Mr. Toad - I've always thought that that was just a cute little play on words with no bearing on reality.

The discussion of what constitutes a "ride" or an "attraction" is purely subjective, based on the whim of Disney. Just take a look at the list of "attractions" at HKDL, and you will see what I mean.

Considering it's not, and considering I should have never listed MILF in my original post, that brings my personal count in attraction difference to -2 for DL. Now, we start talking about quality/value to each attraction it's a complete different ballgame. Add Columbia, subtract MILF, and that's my -2. Anyone is free to categorize things any way they want. I don't count Circlevision films to be an attraction in the count even though I probably would count them since like AA shows, 3d films, etc. all they take is the push of one button.

Secondly, I love the streetmousephere, in fact it is one of my fav things in a Disney park. while subjective, my assertion of an attraction is, if it is in a set venue, with a continued rotation or heavily publicised timetable, then it is an attraction. 3rd - much rather go to DLR than WDW, but I am happy at either so long as I stay away from the MK (makes me grumpy).

After seeing this thread, now it makes sense. But, none of you are counting the non-theme park offerings of WDW. I mean, at WDW you get busses! No, I mean the water parks, golf courses, and numerous sporting opportunities, and WDW way outdoes DLR on hotels, restaurants and stores. Still, I'd take Disneyland over WDW any day.

Unless they move in bulldozers next week and start building a half dozen new rides ASAP, by 2012 DLR will have MORE ATTRACTIONS/RIDES than WDW will. Over the next three and a half years, Disneyland Resort is getting five new rides; Little Mermaid Red Car Tow Mater's Junkyard Jamboree Luigi's Flyin' Tires Radiator Springs Racers If they remove the Maliboomer with no immediate replacement, and retheme the rest of the Pier stuff, that leaves DLR with one ride more than WDW by 2012. Unless of course WDW starts building stuff quickly. But all we hear in the rumor mill is that stuff in WDW is being shelved or canned for the next couple years.
