A buzzing sound that just echoes off the walls of the lobby. Heard it at least 4 times waiting for the movie a couple weeks ago, my companions (a group of princess-wannabe CMs no less) joked about stealing the walkie-talkies and smashing them. In contrast, I think the UK works pretty well. Again, tho, "international intrigue"--even of a cartoonish variety--fit World Showcase a lot better than Merlin and the Disney villains fit MSUSA or Liberty Square.

I'm sure someone will tell me that Kitchen Kabaret was superior to Soarin, but they will be wrong. The only thing of any substance that has gone from MK is 20K and that was destined for ending if for no other reason then the speed of loading and unloading. To replace the Pooh playground with the new Fantasyland is huge, it's just not huge to our particular age group. So it becomes what have you done for ME personally? Not much probably, but the target in MK is not you it is the kids. We grownups have Epcot, DHS and AK. And since 2005 a lot has been added and plussed in those parks. Yes, there is room for and a need for a lot more, but instant gratification will not be possible for these items.

Even my BF, who had NEVER ridden Horizons and only Space, i showed him Horizons video by Martin and he could not believe they took out Horizons for Space. So even people who have NEVER SEEN Horizons IN PERSON think it was superior to Space!!!!

But I still think Mission Space is a well done ride, I only rode it once but I thought it was themed very well. If Horizons was a four star ride, then Mission Space is a three and half.

I can tell you I feel Horizons was a better ride than M:S and you are entitled to disagree, but you would be incorrect to tell me I am wrong. <Not much probably, but the target in MK is not you it is the kids.> A) I don't know where or how this sentiment got started. MK was meant to be a place where a family could enjoy rides together--not just little girls and boys. B) As a parent who pays for my child to get in to MK, I would like more offerings for us as a family. It has become so segmented. Over the years, I have seen MK skew its offerings to a younger, girlie set. I guess they are trying to develop brand loyalty as early as possible.

The Sub attraction at DL is much improved over what it was, but it's still a mediocre anticlimactic experience. I so wish they'd spent that money a brand new attraction instead of ressurecting the Submarines.

ORDDU: Yes, this new project really isn't the end of the world. For those who might enjoy something like this, it really doesn't take away from the experiences of anyone else. So there isn't anything to worry about.

I rode it once and remained puzzled ove rthe long lines. I also rode the Rocket Rods ... once ... neither was worth the long wait.

Nothing about the Land or Universe of Energy. Saying the current Imagination Pavilion is anything other than crap is generous. WOL isn't even an attraction anymore, so yea, crap. Test Track is a thrill ride with about 2 seconds of "thrill", and the rest is cold, boring, industrial scenes. *Yawn* Mission: Space is the only solid ride out of the bunch. Love me some Mission: Space.

The timing of filling in the lagoon, in my mind, was completely from having to do another sub ride in WDW. They kept the one in Anaheim too long and had to do something with it. Before we even knew that they were redoing the subs in DL it was nothing but dirt in WDW. >>>If you cant see if for yourself then your pretty much hopeless. It is a matter of opinion as to whether or not Horizons was the best thing since sliced bread. I liked it but I didn't love it. I think the Mission Space is a far, far superior ride to Horizons. If you can't see that for yourself, then you're pretty much hopeless. (I don't really think that you're hopeless, but since you chose to say it about me, it only seemed fair.) >>>>I don't know where or how this sentiment got started. MK was meant to be a place where a family could enjoy rides together--not just little girls and boys.<<<< It came from the reality that Walt didn't design or require every ride in Disneyworld to be for the family. You could, if you wanted but he himself said that his inspiration came for sitting on a bench, eating peanuts while the daughters rode the carrousel. So what was one of the original rides in DL..The Carrousel. Imagine that. He knew that not everything that children loved would be equally shared by their parents, so he put somethings in that were really just for kids and some things that would be enjoyed more by the parents. That way, both could go to a theme park and find something that they liked to do, thereby, enjoying the parks together. >>>>You mentioned Horizons, JII, WoM, and WoL in your original post.
