I actually think that the ESC produces a good selection of hummable tunes each year. Sure the BBC laugh at it, but they are one of the big financiers so they can't hate it that much. I think the snarky commentary is half the fun though. We often watch it with score sheets and have a great time so not all Brits hate it. Speaking of Israeli transexuals I'll never forgive her for beating Imaani in Birmingham - that was a great song!!!

"Selective", in that it doesn't go back **over a decade** so you can make your point. Estonia's win was 12 years ago, and Latvia's was 11. The rules were changed in 2009 and the problem is pretty much fixed. (Yes, a lot of countries still vote for their neighbors, but that's a cultural thing, not political. And it obviously isn't having that much effect on the winners, as I'm sure Germany will happily confirm. But the UK ignores all that as long as they can keep making fun of the contest rather than facing up to their own STUNNING ineptitude in it. By the way, are you saying that Latvia and Estonia don't deserve to win but the UK does? Because why? Hmmmmmm??? With spectacular timing, here's a former contestant from Ireland, making the exact same point I am: http://www.thesun.ie/irishsol/...lmo.html >>Linda (Martin) revealed: “In the UK and Ireland it’s trendy to slag the Eurovision and to put people down for being connected with it, and that’s mainly thanks to Terry Wogan."<< And then the BBC ran a comedy special a couple nights ago called "How To Win Eurovision", which featured a Eurovision Wall of Shame. Who was on this wall? Oh, the majority of the UK entries from the last 12 years. And then they wonder why they can't convince anybody but fondly remembered has-beens to agree to do it? The contest has left the UK in its dust, but as long as you have the BBC and each other to convince you that it's not your fault and it's just a stupid contest anyway, you can go along your merry way, EXACTLY like Fox News viewers hating on Obama and Pelosi and Hillary Clinton and blaming them for the imminent demise of America. For your convenience, Serbia, Romania, Latvia and Montenegro appear to be the goofball acts this year. Feel free to ignore the other 35, as I'm sure you will. Israeli transvestites and all that, ya know. The rest of you: My apologies for the rant. It's just that the BBC and their toxic 'tude is the #1 reason no one wants to carry the ESC in America. Contest tomorrow at Noon Pacific. Tune in. You'll love it. http://eurovision.tv

The singer is Aliona Moon, one of his backing singer/dancers, the one with the big red hair on the far right. She does have at least one rather goofy costume gimmick for Leemac to enjoy.
