I can certainly take it but I do want my "down time" here to be conducive to happy feelings so I can go home in a good mood and project that to my fam so as to maximize their life experience. Even Jeff can't argue with that---------I hope:) just kidding Jeff.

I've seen the factor with guest hosts and I flick the channel. They're just not interesting.

On the factor last night, it seems there is. Today is when everyone will be watching to see if he indeed does change the sentence. Not one other news organization said anything about this (I guess that's why pass thought nothing could be done except by the legislature) except FOX and Bill so the entire system is changing thanks to Bill.
They mentioned California last night as a prosecutor from that state was on and she couldn't understand why it's a partisan issue and the dems want rehab and the Repubs want punishment?> her statement.
A Vt attorney was also on with the same type thing. It is just incredible why there isn't an outcry for justice and contrary to the rehabbers, the Vt. attorney quoted the exact constitutional passage in the Vt. constitution that insists upon punishment as in "hard labor" for offenders to take presidence over rehab.
Alas the little girl's civil rights hopefully will be upheld as Cashman will have to answer TODAY for his mental instability >>>IMHO> in my humble opinion. I'm not name calling but just giving an opinion that the judge was not thinking clearly. People, especially judges are going to be held accountable.

You say you were a "poly sci" major (sic)- which of the girl's civil rights were violated by the court, pray tell?

This train of thought is amusing. The judge followed the law. Period. If people don't like it, change the law. As has been repeatedly pointed out when people talk about "holding judges accountable" and use lame phrases like "activist judge" they conveniently ignore the fact the judge did the exact "conservative" thing he or she was supposed to do, follow the letter of the law. Anything else would have indeed been "legislating from the bench".

It is impossible for me to care any less than I already do about what anyone says on that show.

Which one? You're the "poly sci" major. I can't think of a single one of her rights that were violated by the court, but since you've got the degree in "poly sci" you should be able to let us know specifically which one you are referring to.

My job has nothing to do with the topic at hand, so how about we focus on the issue and not on smokescreens?

If you inexplicably choose to see it as an attack on you in some fashion, there's really nothing more to say.
