And, if no Americans were aboard, why the story ends up buried deep inside the newspaper. It's a sad statement, but it's true. Nationalism is important. And so for Americans, the only REALLY important thing is how many American soldiers die. Of considerably less importance is how many allied soldiers die. Of no importance whatsoever is how many enemies die. That's just the cold, hard facts.

Go find the debate. It's out there in cyperspace in a MILLION places. Watch it for yourself. DON'T rely on soundbites, PLEASE (that's exactly what you and your ilk love to drink up like mothers milk...though the truth happens to be quite a bit deeper and more complex, believe it or not! WATCH IT FOR YOURSELF, don't let the big bad liberal media soundbite it for ya!)!

I'm sure Rush and Fox News have selected their soundbites as well, for those of the conservative bent.

But yeah, if you are informed, paying attention, news junky, etc (as I imagine if you are HERE, then you are well informed on most issues anyway), you probably made up your mind months or even a year ago and at this point, with 6 weeks to go will be hard to persuade most of those people to the other side. But for the undecided voter who wants to make a real decision, these debates are crucial IMO.
