If they were going to use a 'Pop' version of a song during the end credits, The Bare-Naked Ladies' version of "Grim Grinning Ghosts" would have been WAY more appropriate and appealing!

I agree it could have been better though, if it had been set During Master Gracy's time instead of present day. I just wish that the soundtrack had of had more of the instrumentals instead of the songs. I agree about The Bare-Naked Ladies "Grim Grinning Ghosts". I think the story on the old Haunted Mansion story album was stronger than the movie. A couple seeks shelter from a rain storm in an old house that is haunted, and the ghost host tells them that they will not be released until they take a tour of his home. There you have a story that can send chills down your spine at first, where your initial fears fade as you start to see that the ghosts don't mean you any harm. Then, perhaps, you add a mystery about the bride in the attic that the young couple needs to solve to help their host. You take the idea that ghosts have unfinished business and extend that to all of the ghosts they see and you can really zero in on a story that is scary, funny and bittersweet at the same time.
