Anyway?<< DVC_dad: I don't pretend to know the whole story, but some people find Mark's stream-of-consciousness style of posting to be annoying. There have been some comments about it in the LP Confessional thread and elsewhere. I'll admit to having been annoyed and making a crack or two myself, but I figured that was just part of the give and take that is a public message boards. I never meant to be part of a vigilante committee trying to run somebody out of town. Others may feel differently, of course.

I've taken things personally here as well, and have thought of leaving at times. I even had one post here make me cry. At that time, I walk away for a few days and try to tell myself, that with life, there will be people that I will get along with, there are people that I won't and there are people that I will make lifelong friendships with. The same goes here. I like avromark and his style. I've never been much for rules.=P I'm sad if he has decided to leave.

The re-runs for M*A*S*H were in full force during the late 80's and they always played on some channel around Midnight on Friday night, and would play 3 episodes in a row; that's an hour and a half of M*A*S*H. It just so happens that every weekend I would visit my girlfriend's college (we went to separate colleges, otherwise we would have never graduated, but anyway...) I would talk her into taking a break from studying (she pulled all-nighters all weekend.) Anyway to make a long story even longer, we would drive back to her apartment which was just off campus, and ... and ... and ... watch M*A*S*H. Watching those reruns were really great quantity time! I would wake up later to find her gone back to the Science building to study with her oh soooo Geeky Pre-med major friends. I felt so used. *sigh* Yep those were the good ol days. As a foot note, I eventually married that girlfriend. We don't catch M*A*S*H much on TV anymore, but when we see the occasional re-run or a DVD at Target on the shelf, we look at each other, and smile. My oldest child will catch this and say, "what's so funny?" I reply, "Nothing son, I wouldn't want to gross you out." Someday he and I will have a huge laugh over it.
