See...there inlies (inlays, inlyes..anyways) the problem. 90% of them aren't my friends. Their DH's family, coworkers (because those are the closest things I have to friends), my mom's coworkers, etc. The only friend of mine that will be there is Casey and she's throwing the dang thing (and of course my mom will be there)!

I hate to being a pity party case but I don't have any friends to come to these things so I let someone else decided who comes then I regret even having the dang thing.

When I got married Casey threw a bridal shower for me. Do you know how many people came? FOUR! Thats it! All 4 of them were girls I worked with and no one stayed longer than the time it took to eat.

Sorry but I'm just not really excited about this because of my track record when it comes to parties.

We could throw you a LP baby shower here where you have lots of friends.

Also, I am sad that I cannot afford to take the ferry and have dinner with some wonderful fellow Washingtonian LP'ers today. How lame is my life that I cannot afford to go somewhere? Blech.

Welll, I don't know which "duck" you may be referring to but as for this chicken, I would love nothing more than to "go along" and hang out with Klucky for a while. :)

Wish I could be there in person for you M'LadyKluck. Until then, I'll try sending more e-mails and funny cards! LOL.

I'm sorry too sweetie. But there'll be another time. You can't get rid of me that easy. ;)

I'll e-mail you tonight if I can. Thank goodness that e-mail and LP is free. What else does a person need besides that really? ;)

    *lots of love and hugs*

Or are they just THIS enthralled with Oprah, who is a mere human who lives among the rest of us?

Today's show is a look back at some past moments, and they just now had a segment on Oprah's Broadway show "The Color Purple". Fine. But then Oprah gleefully announces that she "has some pull" and everybody in the audience gets two tickets to the show. And what happens?

    "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!"

Every dang lady in that audience jumps up *SCREEEEEEEEEAMING* at the top of her lungs---they were reacting as though she'd just given them all a new car or house or $10,000! And they were screaming and jumping like that for 70 seconds! Over a full minute of sheer ecstatic chaos!

Oprah says the show is worth seeing, but I dunno if it's *that* worth it, lol.
