Should I be pissed that my vote counts much less than someone in, say, Wyoming? It's because of this that the Republicans keep getting in the White House despite losing the popular vote. They've only one once in the lost quarter of a century.
Right now there's a cut & paste thing going around Facebook about the "genius" of the electoral college...anyone wanna bet me ten-thousand dollars (and I swear I'll pay up, too!) that their collective tune will change the instant a right-winger gets the popular vote but loses the E.C.? Might have to wait a long time, but I'll gladly take the money when that happens. Hell, I'll give you two-to-one on it. Any takers? (I'd also love to see some conjecture on the kind of electoral map necessary to make such a thing happen...is it even possible?)
