As for other AMC shows. I picked up the first two seasons of Breaking Bad and the first four of Mad Men. I either got them cheap or had gift cards and such. Bought them sight unseen but on the reputation alone.

Like I said earlier the best show I've seen this year is Justified on FX it's second season just ended. Incredible show.

I've also been watching the Wire currently in the middle of season 2, right now wondering what the fuss was about. It's good but I'm waiting to be wowed.

And I've got the Shield somewhere to start.

Funny, I have a friend in the exact same part of the series who said the exact same thing. It's knocked it down my queue a bit but I'm still wanting to watch it eventually.

Both shows are excellent. Based on that, and the fact that I like a good zombie flick, I had high hopes for Walking Dead, which I didn't think were fulfilled.

One show I've really enjoyed watching on DVD (as we don't get Showtime) is Dexter.

Oh, hey, speaking of great old shows, anyone else here a fan of Oz? I *loved* that show and seeing the development of the character Toby most of all. Oh, and because of that show, the Allstate commercials weird me out a little bit... seeing Ryan O'Riley doing comedy, I mean.

Some of it I get. The whole Ahmed thing went on too long, and the detective work wasn't exactly meticulous and felt a bit random. I'm all for those criticisms.

But a lot of viewers hated following the parents around and the mayoral campaign. That I don't get. Perhaps they just want CSI with cops chasing down leads every week, but I really liked that they changed it up and showed the turmoil of the family.

As for the finale, I'm not too bugged. I definitely would've preferred that they just wrap up this particular case and have another case next season, but it's looking like we're in for another thirteen weeks of Who Killed Rosie Larsen. Keep it interesting and I'll tune in.

A little of that goes a long way, and after about the fifth time, I started losing interest.
