We already have an eight hour rule, although it has not yet been used. But you do raise an interesting point. Henceforth, it is permissible for the poster make use of the final word in the previous post in the plural or singular and in a past, present or future tense. Hopefully, it will still be recognizable as the same word by we whom don't do two good at english proprieties and such. Etc.
