There's a lot of hype that is placing this new future ride as the end-all E Ticket. Pirates, Haunted, Universe of Energy, Kilamanjaro, exc. Even rides like Indiana Jones (thouse relatively short) give you enough time to get into the story sense atleast the queue is long and all thematically fleshed-out.

I think that's about as short as an omnimover should be. But in order to tell the story of Little Mermaid ... 5 minutes minimum should be it. Hopefully longer than that. But we'll see. I think what also helps are Pre-stories in attractions. That helps to make the experience more immersive. Such as the point of entering the Haunted Mansion foyer .. to the stretching gallery .. to the portrait corridor .. and finally the ride itself. HM is a total 10 minute attraction with the omnimover part 6 minutes. I'm really looking forward to more details in the Blue Sky Cellar at some point.
